A Prefeitura de Estocolmo cumpriu a ameaça feita na última sexta (24) e fechou cinco bares durante o fim de semana, por desrespeitarem medidas de combate à transmissão do coronavírus.

A Suécia é um dos poucos países europeus que não implantaram uma quarentena para combater o coronavírus, mas bares e restaurantes são proibidos de permitir reuniões de mais de 50 pessoas no mesmo local e obrigados a garantir que elas não fiquem de pé ou próximas umas das outras.

Lojas e escolas também continuam abertas. Há restrições à circulação para maiores de 70 anos e doentes e orientação para que as pessoas circulem o mínimo possível e trabalhem de casa, mas sem obrigatoriedade ou punições.

Na sexta, o Ministério do Interior havia avisado em entrevista que agiria com rigor se continuassem as cenas de restaurantes ao ar livre lotados em Estocolmo.

Embora a maioria dos 1.500 estabelecimentos do tipo no país esteja segundo as regras estabelecidas pela agência nacional de saúde, a chegada da primavera e a melhora do clima fizeram crescer a aglomeração de suecos. Na sexta, a prefeita de Estocolmo, Anna König Jerlmyr, disse que faria fiscalizações “24 horas por dia” e pediu que a população denunciasse irregularidades pelo aplicativo oficial.

Os estabelecimentos fechados podem solicitar a reabertura se resolverem as violações e forem aprovados em nova inspeção, segundo a Prefeitura.

Até as 6h (horário do Brasil) desta segunda (27), a Suécia tinha 21,7 mortes por 100 mil habitantes, 8ª maior taxa entre os 42 maiores países europeus. O número é um terço do registrado na Bélgica, que está no topo do ranking, com 61/100 mil, mas mais que o quíntuplo da vizinha Noruega, que tem 3,7 mortos por 100 mil habitantes.

O governo sueco implantou medidas de distanciamento físico sem uma quarentena mais ampla, sob o argumento de que seus hospitais e UTIs ainda têm 20% dos leitos livres.

A estratégia sueca, segundo o epidemiologista que orienta o governo, Anders Tegnell, é permitir que um número maior de habitantes tenha contato com o coronavírus, para que, numa segunda onda de transmissão, a velocidade de contágio seja menor.

O objetivo não é chegar à imunidade de rebanho, que exigiria até 60% de pessoas imunizadas, mas monitorar a situação do sistema de saúde e da progressão da doença para permitir que a população fique menos vulnerável, disse ele em duas entrevistas na semana passada.
