A Keeta, braço internacional da maior plataforma de delivery do mundo, a chinesa Meituan, iniciou oficialmente suas operações no Brasil nesta quarta-feira (30). A estreia no mercado nacional aconteceu nas cidades de Santos e São Vicente, no litoral paulista, marcando o primeiro passo de um ambicioso plano que prevê um investimento de R$ 5,6 bilhões no país até 2030. A empresa já confirmou que a cidade de São Paulo será o próximo destino, com expansão prevista para o final de 2025.

A escolha do litoral paulista para a fase piloto não foi aleatória. Dados internos da empresa indicam que 82% dos pedidos em Santos partem de restaurantes de pequeno e médio porte, um ecossistema ideal para testar e ajustar a tecnologia da plataforma antes de encarar mercados de grande escala, como a capital.

Para conquistar os primeiros clientes, a Keeta já disponibiliza cupons de desconto que somam até R$ 100 para novos usuários. A base inicial da operação conta com mais de 700 restaurantes cadastrados, incluindo redes conhecidas como Sodiê Doces, The Coffee e Mania de Churrasco, além de estabelecimentos locais. Uma força de trabalho de 2 mil entregadores está em processo de treinamento e capacitação para atender a região.

Quem é a gigante por trás da Keeta

A Keeta não é uma startup comum. Ela é a face internacional da Meituan, um verdadeiro império chinês do setor de entregas. A controladora é a maior plataforma do gênero no mundo, atendendo anualmente 770 milhões de pessoas e processando a impressionante marca de 80 milhões de pedidos por dia em seu mercado interno. Antes do Brasil, a Keeta já havia expandido suas operações para mercados como Hong Kong, Arábia Saudita, Qatar, Kuwait e Emirados Árabes Unidos.

Tecnologia como trunfo

A empresa aposta em inovação para disputar espaço com os já consolidados iFood e Rappi. Entre seus diferenciais, a Keeta destaca o uso de Inteligência Artificial (IA) para calcular as rotas mais eficientes, com uma promessa pública de cumprimento de prazos (“On-Time Promise”). A plataforma também oferece suporte ao cliente 24 horas para todos os envolvidos (consumidores, restaurantes e entregadores) e desenvolveu um protótipo de capacete inteligente para entregadores de bicicleta, com lançamento previsto ainda para 2025, visando aumentar a segurança no trânsito.

Chegada aquece disputa regulatória

A entrada da Keeta no Brasil aquece a acirrada concorrência no setor, que já presencia o retorno da 99Food e investimentos bilionários do iFood e da Rappi. O ambiente de disputa também migrou para o campo judicial: a Keeta ingressou com uma ação no Cade (Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica) contra a 99Food, acusando-a de utilizar cláusulas anticoncorrenciais que impedem restaurantes de trabalharem com outras plataformas. Recentemente, a Rappi decidiu se juntar à ação da Keeta, fortalecendo o coro contra as supostas práticas de exclusividade.

Com um investimento agressivo, uma poderosa controladora e uma estratégia de entrada calculada, a Keeta chega ao Brasil não apenas para participar, mas para tentar remodelar o competitivo mercado de delivery nacional. A reação dos concorrentes e a adoção pelos consumidores definirão os próximos capítulos desta batalha.
