Acipi, autoridades e entidades do município participam do abraço simbólico ao Marco da Paz

Em alusão ao Dia Municipal da Paz, a diretoria da Acipi (Associação Comercial e Industrial de Piracicaba), autoridades e representantes de dezenas de entidades do município participaram na manhã de hoje (30) de um ato solene no Marco da Paz, instalado no parque da Rua do Porto. O evento foi marcado por um “abraço simbólico”, seguido da prece universal “Pai Nosso”, entre todos os presentes em volta do monumento.

O Dia Municipal da Paz, celebrado em 30 de março, foi instituído pela Lei Municipal nº 8552, de 2016, e integra o calendário oficial de eventos do município. Além de diversas autoridades, representaram a Acipi o presidente, Marcelo Cançado, e os vices, Mauricio Benato e Jorge Aversa Junior.

A solenidade foi uma iniciativa do Impaz (Instituto Marco da Paz) e contou com o apoio da Acipi, da Prefeitura de Piracicaba, da Câmara de Vereadores, ACSP (Associação Comercial de São Paulo) e Facesp (Federação das Associações Comerciais do Estado de São Paulo).

Abrilhantou o evento o idealizador do Marco da Paz, Gaetano Brancati Luigi, italiano radicado no Brasil desde 1969, que, coincidentemente, nasceu no dia 30 de março de 1937.

Os monumentos semelhantes aos de Piracicaba, espalhados por outras cidades do país e do mundo, têm o objetivo de inspirar na humanidade a cultura da paz.

O presidente da Acipi, Marcelo Cançado, afirmou que o monumento recorda a necessidade da “manutenção da paz, da conciliação da amizade e de um mundo melhor”. “Encabeçado pelo senhor Gaetano, este é um projeto, acima de tudo, da cidade e dos piracicabanos. Ele reflete o quão importante são os valores como o bem comum, a solidariedade e a fraternidade, principalmente em momentos como estes que estamos vivenciando, com guerras mundiais e outros conflitos. A construção do Marco da Paz na cidade foi viabilizada por meio de doações monetárias e materiais de empresas e entidades de Piracicaba, que abraçaram o projeto em conjunto com a Acipi e a Prefeitura. A iniciativa é fruto do trabalho de 120 voluntários, aos quais devemos nosso muito obrigado” lembrou.

A diretoria de Turismo do município, Rose Massarutto, que representou o prefeito Luciano Almeida no evento, agradeceu o envolvimento de todas as entidades. “O meu obrigada a vocês, das entidades, que abraçaram essa causa junto à Prefeitura. Conseguimos demonstrar essa união construindo e mantendo o monumento”, enfatizou.

Para o presidente do Instituto Marco da Paz e Vice Presidente da Federação das Associações Comerciais do Estado de São Paulo, João Bico de Souza, Piracicaba faz parte da história. “Esse monumento em Piracicaba é um dos 35 espalhados pelo mundo, nos cinco continentes. Estamos vivendo momentos fortes e, depois de tanto tempo, ainda vivenciamos uma guerra. Lamentavelmente, o ser humano ainda tem muito a progredir e esperamos que propostas, como a do Marco da Paz, sejam um pedacinho do processo de mudança”, disse com emoção.

Luigi completa 85 anos de idade e recebeu os cumprimentos de todos os presentes, que cantaram parabéns e o emocionaram antes de sua fala. Ele ressaltou que jamais se apagará “em sua vida e na história do Marco da Paz” este gesto. “Não é difícil conquistar a paz, é só fazer o que estamos fazemos aqui em Piracicaba, algo praticado com o coração: somar as pessoas de bem no mundo, dar as mãos para exigir o respeito e a harmonia, para que, unidos, possamos fazer realidade o sonho da humanidade. Para florescer o amor em nossos corações e fazer com que a fraternidade se torne realidade para todos”, afirmou.
