A Semuttran (Secretaria de Trânsito e Transportes) se pronunciou essa semana sobre as acusações levantadas por motoristas de vans escolares que há uma semana atrás promoveram em Piracicaba um manifesto que reuniu aproximadamente 90 veículos. Eles ameaçam fazer um novo já que ainda não conseguiram uma reunião com o secretário Jorge Akira, responsável pela pasta.

De acordo com uma nota recebida 22 horas após a publicação das queixas dos motoristas, onde o PIRANOT havia solicitado resposta da Semuttran antes da mesma ir ao ar, a secretaria disse que em relação ao não atendimento de melhorias, “nenhum outro governo atendeu os permissionários de vans escolares como este” e que só no último semestre 20 motoristas foram atendidos.

A pasta disse ainda que foram iniciadas fiscalizações de vans clandestinas que era a principal reivindicação deles e que sugeriu que os mesmos montassem uma associação de permissionários. O Poder Executivo falou também que havia conseguido um anfiteatro para uma reunião onde se encontraram 150 motoristas para esta definição, porém não sabe no que deu.

Em 2016, a Semuttran disse que intensificou “a fiscalização com o apoio da Policia Militar e sete vans foram apreendidas, conforme noticiado pela imprensa”, inclusive aqui no PIRANOT.

Ainda de acordo com a nota, a Semuttran disse que sim, conversou com os motoristas. “Nos reunimos e conversamos em várias oportunidades com o Sr. Joel, representante da categoria, e atendemos mais uma reivindicação, o Prefeito alterou o decreto possibilitando o uso de van reserva caso houvesse problema com a van autorizada. Enfim, sempre estivemos abertos ao diálogo e estranhamos muito a notícia nas redes sociais de que o Secretário não os atende.”, disse a pasta. “Não estamos entendendo a atitude tomada pelos transportadores de alunos autorizados pelo município. Sobre as reivindicações citadas na carreata, esclarecemos ainda que a Semuttran sempre sinalizou as vagas para este fim e está acompanhando novas demandas.”, completou.

Ainda na nota, a pasta disse que a vistoria anual será alterada para cada seis meses e que “vai manter a vistoria atual, sempre com objetivo de proporcionar maior segurança às crianças transportadas.”

A Semuttran disse ainda que não pretende limitar número de vans, “pois há variação na demanda de alunos.”

Procurados para comentar a posição da secretaria, os motoristas, que não querem dar entrevista por não ter um líder de grupo, disse que havia tentado terça e quarta-feira novos agendamentos de conversa com a pasta, mas sem sucesso. “Diante disso, não tem como. Vamos fazer um novo ato”, disse uma das quatro motoristas que conosco conversaram. A data ainda não foi definida.
